Johnston Oils Club
By working together, we are able to obtain cheaper oil prices while also raising money for our community.

What is it?
A club that benefits its members from a lower price per litre by placing a shared larger order.
The club organises a monthly delivery schedule within a set two-week period. See 2025 delivery schedule below.
The club nominates one supplier - Johnston Oils.
Johnston Oils offers a 1p per litre donation to be used for the benefit of the community. This is managed by Ballater Community Trust.
How it works?
You will receive a monthly email to notify you that this months orders can be submitted (Book Open) along with deadline for submission (Shut Off). Only reply if you want to place an order.
You submit your order (Minimum order 500L) by replying to the email and you will receive a confirmation of your order.
On the deadline for orders the price per litre is obtained & shared with members who have placed orders.
Your oil is delivered. You will receive a pre-alert email from Johnston Oils if requested.

Community Support
The Oil Club was formed in December 2013 with 13 members and at the close of our last trading year ending November 2023 that membership had grown to 279. It is run in conjunction with Johnston Oils who not only offer us a discounted rate on the volumes we place but on a quarterly basis make a further donation to our community fund of 1p per litre. This donation as at January 2024 had raised £42,865.64 of which Ballater Community Trust through the Johnston Oil Fund had supported local projects with £36,129.61 of donations. These range from a small sum to enable groups to run a meeting or procure school garden equipment and materials up to larger sums such as last year’s support of Crathie and their much valued notice board.
