Budget Overview 2024-25

The Ballater Community Trust Directors have agreed a programme of activity for April 2024 – March 2025 to meet the objectives of enhancing the Ballater experience over this period. The main items and proposed spend on each of these are:

  • Flood protection and future assessment £69,000

  • New cinder path and footpaths enhancement £25,000

  • Monaltrie Park development review & activity £13,800

  • Hardship fund support for residents £12,000

  • V&A hub financing £10,000

  • Walking week & duck festival £8,800

  • Community car evaluation and implementation £8,000

  • Power on the green maintenance & new tower £6,500

  • Childcare initiatives and support £6,400

  • Ballater centre planters £4,600

  • CAN environmental group projects £3,000

  • Other community projects £9,800

  • Donations to community organisations £4,000

The activities of Ballater Community Trust are primarily financed by contributions received from its subsidiary Ballater Community Enterprise and external grant funding secured for specific projects. Further financing is received from festivals (Walking Week and Duck Festival), Johnston Oils Club contributions and donations from individuals and organisations.
